I’ve been an athlete for as long as I can remember— name any sport, I’ve likely tried it.
You hear the phrase movement is medicine - It’s not just a saying. Science shows that when you move your body, you not only gain a variety of physical benefits, but your brain also releases hormones that boost mood, focus, and overall well-being.
While I’ve explored a wide range of athletic pursuits, running has always been my constant.
There’s a photo of me as a kid, probably about four feet tall, racing in jean shorts and Sketchers—my first real taste of competitive running. That love for speed and movement only deepened as I got older. In high school, I became the captain of my track team, specializing in short-distance races with a particular passion for the 400m. But what truly set running apart for me wasn’t just the rush of competition—it was the way it allowed me to connect with myself.
Coming from a sprinting background, I’ve come to find that sometimes you need to slow down to speed up, and getting faster isn’t always about pushing harder — it’s about taking time to understand your power and syncing it with your potential.
No two athletes are the same — and neither are your relationships with running. Just like any relationship, it takes time, consistency, and intention to grow. My goal with all my athletes is to help you better understand your power and potential, so we can build a strong, sustainable foundation that supports your goals, your long-term love of the sport, and pushes you past what you thought was possible for yourself. The goal is mastery, not just victory.
